sterling aventura and presidential place redesign

the opportunity

During my first internship, I had the chance to collaborate in a team setting to develop reusable blocks of code for WordPress, integrating VSCode and GitHub into the workflow. Tasked with redesigning websites for Presidential Place and Sterling Aventura, I partnered closely with a UX/UI designer to bring creative layouts to life, translating their designs into functional, visually appealing code.

the process

My dual expertise in UX/UI and front-end development allowed me to bridge the gap between design and implementation, understanding both perspectives and contributing to a seamless workflow. Front-end development, for me, is a process of creative problem-solving—navigating countless ways to achieve a goal in CSS and choosing the most efficient solution for the specific context. My approach centered on crafting responsive frameworks using flexbox, focusing on parent-child relationships in CSS to ensure the layouts adapted beautifully across devices.

The results

Through this project, I developed 16 unique and reusable blocks of code, ensuring cohesive and user-friendly designs for both Presidential Place and Sterling Aventura. These blocks not only met the project’s technical requirements but also maintained a polished aesthetic, demonstrating my ability to design and develop in a collaborative, results-driven environment.
